The Huntley Police Department is structured to deliver police services through the practice of geographic policing.
The Village is divided into four areas. An area sergeant is assigned to each section and that sergeant is responsible for the community needs in that specific area.
The sergeant tracks activity, analyzes crime trends, monitors traffic issues, identifies and responds to neighborhood problems and serves as a conduit between the community and the police department.

The Huntley Police Department offers a number of programs, services and events to enhance community relations and public safety for our residents.

Youth
Having positive relationships with our youth and providing them with the information to make safe and healthy decisions is an important part of our function.  We have designed and implemented many programs to foster the good relationships we have built with the youth in our community and enhance their safety within the Village.

Community
Fostering positive community involvement and engagement is key to our success as a department.  We offer a number of community programs designed to enhance the active partnership we have with our citizens.  The high level of engagement that the citizens of Huntley have with their government and police department is a unique asset that we hope continues to grow.

Crime Prevention & Public Safety

Crime prevention and public safety is our core function.  These programs are designed to help keep our citizens informed and keep Huntley one of the safest places to live in Illinois.

For more information regarding these programs, services and events please call the police department non-emergency number at 847-515-5311.
